How do we spell yummy today?

Check out this delectable sandwich served up today to my friend, Shawn, at a restaurant in Savannah, Georgia.  Ham and Swiss cheese with crème fraîche.  As though it weren't enough to put cheese inside the sandwich, this restaurant takes it over the top and melts the cheese on the outside of the sandwich, too!  I love the charred bubbles and the crispy edges.  This has to taste great!  Hungry yet?

  2. I'll probably use the duck fat to make pomme frites. In a recent episode of "No Reservations", Anthony Bourdaine was visiting a restaurant in Chicago that made their french fries that way. He said they were the best french fries he had ever eaten.
